Monsoon Valley was founded in 2001 by Chalerm Yoovidhya, a wine-loving entrepreneur with a vision to create a Thai wine culture. Upon returning from his studies abroad, Chalerm saw potential in growing grapes in his beloved native Thailand and set out to show the world that great wines can be crafted even at the 13th latitude of the northern hemisphere.

Being close to the sea gives our Hua Hin vineyards an advantage as nights tend to be cooler with fresh breeze coming from the hills, whilst the sandy and loamy soil is enriched with shells and fossils giving minerality and freshness to the wines. The total area planted in Hua Hin is 700 RAI (110 hectar).

The remaining land is home of many indigenous plants and animals that Khun Chalerm is keen to cherish and foster as he believes that the balance of nature is key to crafting great and unique wines.

WHAT CAN I DO THERE?

a. THE SALA

The Sala Wine Bar & Bistro is a beautifully designed Thai pavilion. It offers delicious wine & food pairings amidst scenic landscape as well as information on tropical viticulture and winemaking.

b. WINE TASTING

Get a taste of our Monsoon Valley Wines before you make your choice. Choose from the premium or flagship range, or a combination of both to enjoy the perfect New Latitude Wine experience.

c. VINEYARD TOUR BY JEEP

Hop on our jeep at 9.30am / 10.45am/ 1pm or 4pm and get first hand knowledge of new latitude winegrowing from our guide. THB 100/person

d. ELEPHANT RIDE

Experience our vineyard on the back of an elephant: 15 min for THB 300 or 30 min for THB 500 per person. Children under 7 years old are not allowed to ride the elephants unattended, and children below height 75cm/2’6” – free of charge, operation time from 9:00 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.

e. MOUNTAIN BIKING

Explore Hua Hin Hills Vineyard on a mountain bike: 30 min for THB 100 or 60 min for THB 150 per person.

f. BOTTLE PAINTING

Get inspired by the beautiful surrounding of Hua Hin Hills Vineyard and create your own unique wine label. THB 300 per set for mock up bottle or THB 800 per set for Premium wine bottle.
