- Visit Wat Yai Chaimongkon. A large working wat, with ruins that appear on some of the well known photos of temples in Thailand.
- Visit Wat Phra Si Sanphet the holiest temple on the site of the old Royal Palace Originally built by King U-Thong in the 14 th century, and expanded over the years. These pavilions were completely destroyed in 1767, leaving only brick foundation, porticos and walls.

- Wat Chaiwatthanaram is a Buddhist temple located in the city of Ayutthaya Historical Park, on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, outside Ayutthaya island. It is one of Ayutthaya’s best known temples and a major tourist attraction.
