The Grand Palace
Once home to the Kings of Siam, the destination is now one of Thailand’s top attractions. Marvel at the complex’s regal flavor as you tour its enormous grounds Wander through the Royal Funeral Hall and the Royal Coronation Hall. Hire a local guide to share insight, history and information about this impressive structure. Learn about the most famous part of this grand complex, the Emerald Buddha, which is housed in Wat Phra Kaew and carved from a single piece of jade. Tthis 17.5-inch (45-centimeter) piece is recognized by locals as the holiest object in the nation.
NOTE: Dress Code: There are strict dress codes for visiting the Grand Palace. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha is Thailand's most sacred site. Visitors must be properly dressed before being allowed entry to the temple. Men must wear long pants and shirts with sleeves - no sleeveless tops. If you're wearing sandals or flip-flops you must wear socks (in other words, no bare feet.) Women must be similarly modestly dressed. No see-through clothes, bare shoulders, etc. It is also recommended to avoid bright colors
Wat Traimit
The temple of the golden buddha or Wat Trimit Wittayaram, located on the west of Hua Lamphong Railway Station. This temple is the world's largest solid-gold Buddha statue. Weighing 5.5 tons and measuring 10 feet (3 m) tall, this seated sculpture is believed to have been made back in the 13th or 14th century.
